FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Is all of your hair raw?

No. We carry both raw and virgin human hair, and we'll clearly tell you which one you're purchasing.

2. Is raw hair better than virgin hair?

Not necessarily. Raw hair may appeal to someone who values natural variation and wants hair closer to its naturally collected state. Virgin hair may be a better fit if you prefer greater consistency between bundles.

3. Is all raw hair single donor?

No. Some raw collections may be single donor while others may contain carefully grouped hair. We'll only call hair single donor when we have information supporting that claim.

4. Why don't my raw bundles look exactly alike?

Because you’re dealing with unprocessed human hair. Natural variations in color, texture, wave pattern and strand characteristics can happen. Sisters, not identical twins.

5. Why is my hair frizzing or tangling? Does that mean it's bad hair?

Not necessarily. Coarser, curly and highly textured human hair can naturally require more maintenance. Extensions also no longer receive natural oils from the scalp. Lack of moisture, product buildup, improper detangling, excessive heat, sleeping without protecting the hair and going to bed with wet extensions can all contribute to frizz and tangling. If you're struggling with your hair, talk to us before giving up on it. Sometimes the solution is as simple as a proper cleanse, conditioning treatment and a few changes to your routine. We'd rather help you learn your hair than leave you frustrated with it.

6. Does easier maintenance mean better-quality hair?

No. Maintenance and quality are not the same thing. A naturally silky collection may require less day-to-day attention than a coarser raw collection without being 'better' hair. The texture is simply different.

7. Can I straighten and curl the hair?

Yes. Use heat protectant and reasonable temperatures. However, keep in mind that repeatedly straightening curly hair may lead to a loss of the original curl pattern.

8. Can I bleach or color it?

Yes, but we strongly recommend professional coloring and always strand testing first. Chemical processing can alter the texture and shorten the lifespan of human hair.

9. How long will my hair last?

We're not going to give you an unrealistic number just because it sounds good. Longevity depends heavily on frequency of wear, installation, heat, coloring, products, maintenance, swimming and storage. With proper maintenance, the hair may be reused through multiple installations.

10. Does the hair shed?

All hair sheds - even the hair growing from your scalp. Some shedding from extensions is normal. Cutting wefts, aggressive brushing, improper installation and poor maintenance can increase shedding.

11. How many bundles do I need?

As a general starting point: Shorter lengths: 2-3 bundles. Medium lengths: Around 3 bundles. Longer lengths: 3-4 bundles. Extra-long or extra-full: 4+ bundles. Your desired fullness, texture and installation method also matter.

12. Why are longer bundles more expensive?

Long donor hair takes years to grow and is less readily available. As length increases, supply can become more limited - which is why you will generally see prices increase too.

13. What if I still don't know what hair to buy?

Ask us. Seriously. Tell us the look you want, the length you're considering, how you normally style your hair, and how much maintenance you're comfortable with. We'll help point you in the right direction.
